Refer to pain management if:
Patient known to pain service and open to supported self-management (pain services will generally not accept re-referrals for patients who have completed a pain management programme for the same condition)
Patient with spinal cord stimulator and associated pain (refer back to the service it was fitted)
Refer to physiotherapy if: Local spinal pain with or without referred pain to the limbs (radicular limb pain) and:
No myotomal/muscle weakness on examination (not patient reported)*
No previous physio
Post operative physio (e.g. requests from hospital to refer patient to physio if out of area)
